OH NO NOT AGAIN !!!!!!!!! On Monday, a spill of dirty tar sands oil from a BP refinery in Indiana left a disgusting sheen on the surface of Lake Michigan -- the drinking water source for upwards of 7 million people in the area. Its the fourth oil spill to happen in the last two weeks. Altogether, theyve unleashed nearly a quarter million gallons of toxic oil into ecosystems in the U.S. But no matter how many gallons of this poisonous junk ends up in our water and soil -- and it’s a lot -- Big Oil and their cronies in Congress are right now pushing for drilling in the Arctic, advocating for the dirty Keystone XL pipeline, trying to stop our government from making more parks, and blocking every single piece of legislation that could help stem the tide of climate change. They refuse to see reason, which means we’ve only got one option: Get these people out of Congress. Now.
