#OHwx #Rain Are you sitting down?....here is the forecast for the Dayton/Columbus area for Thursday-Friday. I hope you will not be too upset. DRY!!! Here is the bad news, those are the only two days I can go completely dry on. With the pattern we have been in, the weakness to sit up in and around the Ohio Valley...a few places might get a storm as soon as Saturday afternoon. The chances will be small both Saturday and Sunday, but there will be a chance. 85-90% will likely stay dry both days; however, someone in the area is going to get an isolated storm. Most know my approach to the summer "doldrums" pattern. When it is wet and has stayed wet this long, and the pattern really digs right around the Solstice....the pattern will try to mimic what happened around that time, which is rain. Now before you want to come find me and tell me to "Shut Up".....I do not see a widespread event at all for at least 7 days, but I would be doing a disservice to all of you if I did not mention what I think will occur. So from Saturday-Wednesday, isolated to widely scattered thunderstorms (10-40% coverage) during this time. However, by the end of next week confidence continues to grow of more troughing coming down to this part of the country and we set up a more pronounced northwest flow and the MCS train could very well start again. In the meantime, enjoy Thursday and Friday.
