OK - so my birthday is in November and Im giving you plenty of time to learn this birthday song. No Happy Birthday To You song for me - no no no... This is courtesy of The Doubleclicks and Ive even modified it, with my name, for your comfort. Im also linking their performance so you know how it should sound *and thats not all*. Ill even footnote each reference in the song since most of you have NO idea what any of it means. Today is Mickeys birthday So it is time to sing And hope he does not disappear with the help of a magic ring Hes a really hoopy frood And a super shiny nerd So lets not split the party when we all join in the words Youre getting older Live long and prosper When it counts may you roll high Happy Birthday to you Mickey Youre a frakking awesome guy (repeat) So Say we all ------------- 1. Bilbo put on a magic ring (The One Ring) and disappeared on his eleventy-first birthday party 2. In the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, by Douglas Adams, hoopy is defined as a really together guy. A frood is defined as a really amazingly together guy. 3. Split the party (a party is a group of players) is most likely a Dungeons & Dragons reference - maybe Everquest or World of Warcraft - but D&D is my story and Im stickin to it. 4. Live Long and Prosper is a Vulcan greeting/farewell/salute from Star Trek 5. Rolling high is a D&D or other such game where rolling high means that you were able to successfully do something or inflict a lot of damage - maybe even a crit if you rolled a 20 with a 20 sided dice. 6. Frakking is slang from Battlestar Galactica - Ill let you figure it out. 7. So Say We All is from Battlestar Galactica where everyone is in agreement and they all repeat that phrase. ---------------
