OK- Guardians of the Galaxy was a pretty good film. I think its a film that most people will like; Im not sure that it will have the impact of the Avengers or the Iron Man films, but its visually stunning, movies quick, and is fairly loyal to the comic. I liked it because I know all this comic stuff and I find it satisfying to see these make it into the mainstream. Some of the powers of the characters are dampened (especially Drax) but you have to expect that (like the old Hulk TV series seriously weakened the Hulk). There is a lot of stuff in this movie that will follow in Thor 3, Avengers 3, and Captain America 3 along with the planned Antman and Dr. Strange films, so if you want to follow the Marvel end this is a must see film (especially with Thanos and the infinity stones being explained here for the first time if you have no idea what those are). So I recommend it and Im sure most people will enjoy it. Im dying for the Avengers 2 film to come out in May of 2015 and see if Marvel tries to tie this all together. By the way this film has some of the best 3D effects of the Marvel films. . OK after this point there is a potential spoiler in this post, so if you dont want to know about the film stop reading. Marvel played this real close to the chest and the scene at the end of the credits neither sets up any future movie or has much relevance to the current film unless they do something unprecedented (I immediately knew what was coming sooner or later when Cosmo appeared in a scene in the film [if you know who Cosmo is then I may have ruined the post credit scene for you, but you were warned]). Anyway, I was probably the only person in the theater that saw what was coming with the post credits scene and I laughed out loud before the point was revealed.
