OK, Facebook friends. Here is the deal. I believe that what you focus upon in your life expands. In essence, what you choose to make a big deal of in your life becomes your life. I love to see the joy and happiness in my friends lives. I relish seeing what brings each and every one of you moments of peace, tranquility, and laughter. Conversely, there are a number of folks in my Facebook universe who are living in a very negative space. Nobody- EVER- has read a Facebook post trashing an opposing viewpoint, political party, ethnicity or belief and seen the light. All they see, or feel, when they read something like that is alienated, looked down upon, or separated from a friend or family member. We have enough division in our world. We have too many people who feel disenfranchised or alone. So here it is. My little stand. Think about what you want to fill your life. Do you want to be centered in a positive place, or do you want to focus on what is wrong in the world (as you perceive it) and live in a negative space? It is not up to me to decide for any of you how to live your lives. I will always respect you and your opinion. But I will no longer allow the negativity of others inhabit my life. Think about your words before you post them. Will your words help build a bridge, or will they tear someone down? If it is the former, as I hope it is for all of you, then I welcome your continued presence in my life, and on my Facebook feed. If it is the latter, then I wish you well, will bid you a fond adieu and will quietly remove you from my friends list. There is enough negativity that assaults all of us on a daily basis, and I dont feel the need to invite more of it in.
