OK Fans. Time again for Bulldog TrainingTips. Tonights tip is: keep it old school. Trying to make a specific science out of lifting for power seems to be on the rise, but really there are only so many ways to work muscle. I say, if it isnt broken, then dont try to fix it. Old school techniques are proven to be effective not only in theory, but in practice. If you dont believe me, then google Bill Kazmire and see for yourself. I tend to use free weight as much as possible, especially dumbells. Using dumbells is a great way to determine if you have any one side weakness. I will use cables for certain things as well. In my experience lifting for power requires simple techniques, and stable body positioning. Thats it really. Basic lifts, extremely heavy weight, explosive movements. For advice on specific body parts or lifts dont hesitate to send me a question. Go ahead, test me. Itll be fun. Until next time, hit it hard.
