OK Hawkaholics, I hope youre ready for this one! I decided to walk to PMA at lunch and got really lucky - spotted a red-tail soaring above the Philadelphian, and ending up on the back spire of the PMA (Moms usual spot). Shortly after s/he hopped to the front of the museum, posed for a good while, then glided towards the Oval or the football field. While I was taking the pictures I was convinced it was Mom, mostly because of the locations where the hawk perched, also because of the body and head shape, but I know things look different when its windy and their warm feathers fly around. After reviewing Kevins photo of Mom from Saturday (and I do really think thats her), and looking at some Mom photos from last Fall and Spring, I think this is a different bird - T3? I dont think I have any photos of T3 from the Spring, maybe Kevin Vaughan can find some so we can be certain. Either way, I was thrilled to find one of ours and get some PMA/hawk shots. Im sharing quite a few - let me know what you think who this is!
