OK I have decided to share a very, very simple old favorite of mine that I call Womens Auxiliary Ham Rolls. And yes they have a lot of sentimental value to me. When my sister and I were small we went to every church meeting with my parents, back then you didnt hire babysitters. We just had to sit through BORED meetings and ohhhh were they boring. But once a month she would take us to the Ladies Auxiliary meeting and someone would always bring these Mustard, Poppy Seed Ham Rolls and I LOVED THEM!!! Certain foods just bring back great memories for me and these rolls do just the trick. They are great left over and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.... Simply follow whats in the (horrible) pictures to guide your steps. Give me a break, my gift is cooking not photography. Melt a 2 to 1 ratio of butter and mustard eg. 4 tbsp of butter to 8 tbsp of Mustard. Add poppy seeds to your liking. If you have never had poppy seeds, they dont have a strong flavor just add a great little crunch. Slice pan of rolls in half and coat both sides with mustard mixture (as if making a sandwich). Layer rows of Ham slightly overlapping (my favorite is black Forrest ham) If you dont like ham just sub for another deli meat. Place the top on and coat the top of the rolls with mustard mixture. Bake uncovered in the foil pan you bought them in at 375 degrees until golden brown on top. Watch them carefully as they are covered in butter and will brown quickly.
