OK, Im doing something scary. And real. As in real life. I am going to read some of my poetry (!) at this event. I revere poverty. I revere it so much that I never wanted to mangle it with my words. But I have gotten over it and am going to stand in front of a mic and read my poetry without having a CLUE if it really has merit. I mean, I like it OK, but is it REAL poetry? Beats the shit out of me. SO this is an act of artistic bravery, 5 minutes. 2 poems. I will, no doubt, have to have a drink after. BI WRITERS -- who else wants in?
