OK. Im gonna have to ask. Does anyone use LinkedIn? Its really confusing me. I created an account YEARS ago to try to do some networking when I was looking for a job. I logged in a total of 4-5 times and never used it beyond that. Occasionally I receive email messages to my msn email telling me that someone is wanting to connect with me on LinkedIn. I have always just ignored them and deleted them. I figured SOMEDAY I will just delete the account. Well today I received a call from the massage school asking to confirm my ad on LinkedIn for a massage room rental opportunity. I explained that I dont use LinkedIn, that she must be referring to the ad I posted last week on CraigsList. No, she said, this is on LinkedIn. I asked her to read the ad to me. It was the ad I posted on CraigsList, word for word. I asked her if there were photos and she described the photos that Id posted with the CraigsList ad. That was enough to spook me, so I finally decided to log onto my LinkedIn profile and delete it. I used my msn email and clicked on forgot my password. The error message I received said that it does not recognize my email. BUT THATS WHERE THEY SEND ALL THE MESSAGES TELLING ME PEOPLE ARE WANTING TO CONNECT. So I went to one of these deleted email messages and clicked on the link provided to log in to connect with _________. And it opens a page saying that I have to CREATE an account. I dont want to create an account. Obviously I already have one if people are seeing it and sending a request to connect. Plus I need to find out how the hell this CraigsList ad got onto LinkedIn. Any help?
