OK, Im touched that everyone seems worried I didnt post on fb for Doreens birthday ... I was busy celebrating in real life, so Im a little late, sue me. :D Hope & David Nielsen and I went to Red Lobster for Doreens bday, and we expected to meet opposition to our plan to leave a chair open for her, order her food and get them to sing to her. I assumed the request would be met with a smarmy smile and Those things are reserved for the living. But we couldnt have been more wrong. Props to Mike & Erika at Red Lobster for going above & beyond to make her feel special, even brought her a fancy drink (basically a big fruity Shirley Temple) and for dessert she got a strawberry shortcake in a jar with a candle and on the plate was a whimsical lobster design drawn in strawberry syrup with Happy Birthday Doreen in chocolate syrup! Then Mike & Erika enlisted the help of two other servers and sang her Happy Birthday. I was all misty eyed. :) Then Mike helped us take some nice pics (Ill post those soon, Im downloading AOL to this newer laptop, I couldnt deal with mine anymore)... and we helped her eat some of her food. ;) LOL Thank you, Hope & David, for a lovely evening to honor a lovely lady. :)
