OK. Ive been away from the computer for a couple of days. Colin and I had a real adventure Sunday. We left his practice in Atl and boarded a flight to Salt Lake City. We arrived at 8:50 pm and were set to board our flight to Ontario at 9:05. Unfortunately, the plane we were to board hit a flock of birds coming into SLC. So we had to wait for another flight in from ATL that was late because of weather. So we took off from SLC at 1:30 am and arrived at Ontario, CA airport at 3:00 a.m. Hertz didnt have my reservation and gave me a little grief at the counter. Finally got a car and made our journey to Riverside. Colin got to sleep about 4 am. He had to be back up at 7 to get to class. His truck FINALLY arrived today. The driver was detained for 36 hours for a weight issue in Texas. The truck is dirty but Colin is delighted to have it at last. Today, I put the dining room table, Colins bed and a few smaller items together. The apartment is starting to take some shape. A couple of trips to Walmart and a few to go. I still have an entertainment console to assemble and we are awaiting delivery of a sleeper sofa. Bought two cheap lamps today to provide some light for rooms other than the kitchen and dining room. I have never been away from home for this long. We will meet up with Mom and Layne in Rochester, NY for the World Championships and then Colin and I will return to CA on Labor Day. I hope to be able to fly home the following Wed or Thurs. We should have everything set by then. Thanks for your prayers.
