OK Need advice from you dog experts. I have never had one that we left at the vet for an extended period. But Rowdy is cowering tonight when I try to take him out of the crate for potty time. He always loved the leash before. I think he is afraid he is leaving again but hubby says he is scared for some reason. COuld it be because the last time I put him on a leash he went away for two days and it was a painful experience for him. I actually had to pick that dog up and carry him to the yard and put him down. He cowered down on the ground so I had to walk away for him to do his business. Then he would not come to me and when I walked over towards him he cowered down on the ground again and I had to pick him up and carry him back to the crate. I loved on him the whole time I was carrying him but I just dont know what his making him do this now or how to get him comfortable with me putting him on the leash. They say after the heart worm treatment he needs to stay calm two weeks so I dont want to just let him go out and run and I am not letting him out around Sheldon at all. Or should I say Hyper dog.
