OK, New Rant. I fundamentally and categorically believe that there is never a good reason for torture. I am appalled that my country has lowered itself to these tactics and will be writing a letter to my congressmen to say as much. 1. Its proven to be ineffective and unreliable. 2. (And more importantly) It is morally reprehensible, it is bully tactics and I wont stand for it or vote for anyone who has. The ends do not always justify the means, to coerce, or bribe, or make deals that get information, OK....I get that..... if these Detainees are there for a reason, interrogate them, try them in a court. If they are guilty incarcerate or terminate them based on the crime. I am all for justice If they are not guilty then let them go..... This is the Land of the free, and the home of the BRAVE, torture is a cowardly act for people who are afraid. I would rather BRAVE the unknown than that commit a cowardly act to know what is coming.
