OK Question of the day.... I hear about all these fast food worker protest for a $15/hr. minimum wage. As part of the Food Service Industry I can definitely understand wanting more money for your SKILLS set (sou chefs, pastry chefs, sommeliers, ect. ) however how can you explain wanting nearly DOUBLE the national min wage for a job that is traditionally held by high school students and is currently being replaced by automated systems??? Not poking fun, I really want to know/understand the point of view.
