OK, River City fb peeps, have I got a deal for you! Im sure you all are aware of the BTA Alice Toeclips annual dinner, fundraiser, and social event of the year happening May 31st (which happens to be sold out). Here is your opportunity to hang with the infamous Alex, the old-but-still-fun Dave, and a few other illustrious bike industry type people at the River City table- for free! All you have to do is tell me (with a decent amount of credibility) that you will spend $100 or so on anything at the auction. This is a choice opportunity! We have been going to this event for hundreds, maybe thousands of years now, and almost always manage to piss someone off in some way or another, many times not intentionally. We have been asked to leave, been glared at, SHHHHed at, had our booze consficated, accidently picked the wrong time to walk out (during Jay Graves lifetime achievement award speech), and in general made friends whenever we could. It is a great opportunity to see most of the Portland bike industry movers and shakers gathered in one room at one time. So if the big oil companies decide to get violent, it may not be the best place to be. But besides that it should be a decent way to spend an evening. We have room for four or five people.
