OK SO HERES THE STORY: Yesterday I went to the Ms. Black and Gold Pageant at Georgia State with my girlfriend to support her friend who happened to win Ms. Zeta Mu (congrats Amanda)! The show was entertaining, inspirational, educational, and loooooooooooong. Even though it lasted about the same time as a Lord of The Rings movie, it was still a good event. Anywho...when we were about to leave, we noticed that the gate was down at the parking deck where we parked. There was a guard of some sort outside who was letting us know that he didnt work there and was trying to figure things out himself. Understanding that it wasnt his fault, we waited patiently as his coworker on the inside opened the side door for us to get into the parking deck. Now that we got in, the issue was knowing how to get out since cars were stopped at the gate. Once we got in, we figured out why the cars werent moving. Apparently it cost $12 to get out of the gate even though all of the signs pointing to that parking deck read $4 Parking. People were so pissed! It was chaos in the deck that night. I would say we all felt lied to and this one guy felt as if some legal action needed to be taken. While all of this was going on, my girlfriend and I just pulled on the side and waited patiently for a while. Not wanting to be there anymore than we had to, I began to drive off. We sat behind the car in front of us as they struggled to put their ticket in the machine and pay the $12 fee. They finally paid and the gate let up for them as they drove through. We were next. As we slowly drove up to the gate, I got the ticket out and put it in the machine...the wrong way. I had to try again and as soon as I put the ticket in, the machine showed me the $12 price.
