OK...So obviously The word of God offended someone and they reported my post to FB and they took down this post below from the home page. Well I am sorry if you are offended by this but I will post Gods truth and give Glory to God and only God and I will keep re-posting and telling the word of God every time they take it down. For many children coming up, Halloween is an evening of masquerading for “tricks or treats”. For some they think it may be a relatively innocent evening, but for others it is not. It can be an evening when morals, modesty and restraints are forgotten. I have heard it all before....what is wrong with letting the children have a good time.... its all in fun. We call it a fall festival now not Halloween and have it at our church or we dont celebrate the devil we are just getting the kids some candy. But no matter what you call it.... is it really an innocent “trick or treat” adventure in costumes that children and some parents love and enjoy. How much do you really know about this haunted holiday? Associated through its name with Allhallows Eve. Popular secular observance of Halloween, falling on the night of Oct. 31, is derived from the rights of the Druids celebrating the day of Samhain (pronounced sow-en), the so called “lord of death”, when the “Lord of Death” called together the souls of the wicked who had died during the past year. The theme of harvest, which runs through modern Halloween celebrations, comes from both the old Druid celebrations and the old Roman Catholic festivals in honor of Pomona, goddess of fruit, brought to Britain during the Roman occupation.”… Halloween has its roots buried deep in overtones of Paganism, Satanism and devil worship. The word “trick” carries with it a tragic and sometimes deadly meaning also. Webster defines “trick” as “…something designed to swindle.”Could a more appropriate word be found to describe the methods employed by the Devil – the greatest swindler of all time? The Devil, the masterful trickster: as one who “transforms himself into an angel of light …his ministers also are transformed as the ministers of righteousness: whose end shall be according to their works” (2 Corinthians 11:14-15). The Devil’s clever trick is to make believe that he does not exist. Satan hides behind a mask; people picture him as a red man with horns and a tail, something harmless to joke about. But what does the Bible say about Satin and what does the Bible have to say about the practices from which modern Halloween festivities are taken...I John 5:19 “… the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one. Peter I 5:8 Be sober, be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking some one to devour. 1 Thessalonians 5:22 Abstain from all appearance of evil. 1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by giving heed to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons. Ephesians 5:11-12 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. God’s Word Condemns such Pagan Practices! This quote is a direct quote taken from a Pagan/Wicca expert Patti Wigington .....Samhain is known by most folks as Halloween, but for many of us modern Pagans its considered a Sabbat to honor the ancestors (I would say she is referring to the “lord of death and his helpers”) who came before us, marking the dark time of the year. Its a good time to contact the spirit world with a seance, because its the time when the veil between this world and the next is at its thinnest. 2 Kings 17:17-18 And they caused their sons and daughters to pass through the fire, practiced witchcraft and soothsaying, and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke Him to anger. I pray for all who keep Halloween this year that you will study the roots of Halloween and study more about what God has to say before you take your children out. May God lead, guide and direct you.
