OK. So tonight we had exceedingly good friends over for dinner,. We had munchies on the deck facing the river, then we went indoors and Claire had prepared; Pork shoulder roulade stuffed with corn bread, sausage, bacon, and served with smashed potatoes, peas, and 3 different flavors of apple/mustard sauces, and pan drippings pork gravy. Dessert was dutch apple pie made with todays apples from Maine and capped with Giffords Old Fashioned Vanilla Ice Cream. Does it say anything about my upbringing that I was stuffing my face with the waffle cut potato chips left over from the porch munchies as I was helping clean up the table after the company left?
