OK. To end my birthday let me tell you about the blue flashing lights and the ticket, (my first in 25 years). First of all, Tom and I swear you could drive 100 mph in a 25 and not get pulled over for speed around here, but by golly you better have a seat belt on, (yes I had mine on, I ALWAYS do) so little Opey Taylor has followed in Andys footsteps and is now a deputy, he pulls me over and says, mam why dont you have a seat belt on, I say, uh its right here, (pulling it out for him to see), but its pitch black and foggy out so you couldnt see it. He says Oh well do you know why I pulled you over, Im thinking well, I was going 65 in a 45, but not about to admit that nonsense, he says, well for one you have faulty equipment on your truck, (just say you have a headlight out for heaven sake, youre 12 youre not brilliant) and you didnt use your turn signal back there when you changed lanes. ...I was still thinking, and ya little Moron I was going 20 mph over the limit. Anyway without cracking a smile OR wishing me a happy birthday he comes back with a warning for faulty equipment and told me to use a turn signal from now on. So for anyone traveling thru spartanburg fly as fast as you want, BUT, wear a seat belt, use your turn signal and whatever you do not have faulty equipment.
