OK, Yall....Attention to Muster! Let me tell you a little sea story about a bunch of guys who drove boats around as an awesome job. Yea, yea, yea...you are probably thinking, Boats, you were a Boatswains Mate and an Assault Boat Coxswain, so yea you drove boats around..... But I am talking you all....The Naval Special Warfare types who went out in support of our SEAL Brothers to make sure they had a ride whenever and where they needed it (as long as there water a water source around of course). The NSW all started back in 1964 and now here it is 2014...50 freaking years of nothing but an absolute adrenaline rush for those of us who chose to do this job. Now it is time to muster up again! I know that the economy is still rough, I know that people still are not back on their feet, I know that (whatever) ....We all have our little hiccups, but JOIN THE CLUB!... the Boat Club that is....I am the CCCA Membership Guru and I want to see your applications come across my desk.....I am also on the 50th Anniversary Committee and am in charge of running the Quarterdeck (Hospitality Room) at the hotel...... But you know what? I am not rich or have extra money laying around, so my CEO paid for my membership to the CCCA....I challenge you all to ask your CEO or Execs to pay up!...If you want a challenge letter, I will get you one. And tell them if they donate at least $500, then we will give them a shout out and room for a banner. If they want to donate more, then I will get them a meal ticket, not an MRE. Also, only the Board and Committee know of this little secret, but I will share it with you. I am taking the first three days off from work to provide you all a memorable experience...WITHOUT PAY!...yes that is correct...I dont get paid time off (PTO). So I paid my $20 Registration fee so my son and I can enjoy the free events during that 5 day period....but as for the rest of the events that require funds? I cannot afford to attend with my recent surgeries. I rather you all be able to relax and enjoy the experience and I will continue working in the background (like a good covert operator) towards your happiness.....All I want is for YOU to be happy!.... Not all Boatswains Mates are Hard Asses, just dont let it get around that I have a soft soft.... Now get those Membership Applications on my desk! and dont forget your 50th Anniversary paperwork and funds.....just tell your boss it is a charitable event and can be written off...they will like that... Boy are my sails full tonight....... Boats Out!
