OK, Yes, I said I had backed away from the rescue world, but,,, BUT it is all about the animals. WE now have a house guest for the next few days. Meet Rudy, our #54 foster. A Petite Basset Griffon Vendeen. To give you more info,,Definitely not a hairy Basset Hound, the Petit Basset Griffon Vendéen, or PBGVs, name in French reveals much about him: Petit- small; Basset- low to the ground; Griffon- rough or wire coated; and Vendéen- the area of France from which he originated. A scent hound, the PBGV is bold and alert with a strong, tapered tail carried like a saber. His long, rough coat should appear casual and tousled. Coat colors include white with any combination of lemon, orange, black, sable, tricolor or grizzle markings, providing easy visibility in the field. This lil boy approximately 6 months old is so loving and right now confused. He is a lap puppy for sure!
