OK all here is the info for the reunion again. The reunion is in Norfolk Va Oct 7-12 2014. There is going to be a memorial service on the Wisconsin, I believe that they are also trying to get a tour of an LPD and also if in port a Frigate. There is quite a few high powered shipmates coming to this reunion so all of this is possible. The registration form has all of the costs, The hotel is $83 plus taxes as well as tour fees, banquet ect. My treasurer from the LaSalle Assn is setting this up and he is very precise when it comes to timelines, costs ect. He has even made a pin for the occasion. We have had pins made for every reunion for the LaSalle I will post a pic of it here shortly. I am the founder of the LaSalle Assn and we talked about this joint reunion for many years. When I left the LaSalle the Brown was my next ship. I have a pic of both of them in Bahrain around 77. This should be a good reunion, hopefully we can get Hudner to attend as well. As I stated before, I need to know if Brown shipmates are willing to pay for Capt Hudner if he can attend? Let me know on this, time is getting very close and we need to know attendance for banquet, tours, hotel ect. Putting this together is alot of work and deadlines need to be set.
