OK, as promised, I said I would give an overview of what was discussed at last nights meeting, I will not be doing this every month as I know it will detract people from coming as they will just be able to read it here, there will be no short cut for information. I opened the meeting thanking everyone for their time, I went through the agenda and firstly introduced Robin Stonebridge, who gave us the current situation as far as the Chesterfield Canal and the proposed restoration of. I would point out that there is still work going on, the funding has been cut but there is still activity. The are in conversation with HS2 and they will continue to lobby them. I will have there consultation document sent to me, secondly David gave us a talk on the recent visit by Sir David Higgins and the subsequent report, he went through the document and identified that there were some omissions from what was said by Mr Higgins on the TV, I gave a talk on our MP Natascha Engle and her response to the consultation documents then Russ gave us a talk on the Archaeology and Ecology impact on the country by HS2 ripping the land up. We finished off with Paul going through the new Tri-folder document I have just published and how we needed everyone to assist with distribution, the meeting closed around half eight and I hope people got a lot out of it. When the minutes are published, if you let me know who would like a copy and forward me an email to send it to, I will gladly oblige. Please feel free to let me know if you want any further information.
