OK class, lets review Interaction with Police 101. Rule #1: If you point a firearm at a police officer, expect him to shoot you. Rule #2: In all fifty states, if you are being arrested by the police, you do not have a right to resist the police EVEN if you believe the arrest is unlawful. Rule #3: There are more attorneys in the United States than police; the number of attorneys in the United States is even greater than the number of incarcerated citizens. If you feel your rights have been violated by the police, throw a rock in any direction and you will likely get the attention of an attorney who will be sympathetic and take your case before a court of law. Rule #4: If you are engaged in criminal activity, you will be interacting with police. Refer to Rules 1, 2 and 3. Rule #5: Protesters who engage in looting, arson or other criminal acts are considered, by the police, to be criminals. Refer to Rule #4. Rule #6: If you wish to engage in criminal activity and be free of police intervention, you may wish to become a citizen of some other planet, plane of existence or nation. Dont let the door hit you in the ass when you leave. Buh bye. Rule #7: Law abiding citizens need not fear the police. Ever. Rule #8: Yes, some police officers are STUPID and should not have the privilege to wear the uniform. Stay calm, comply with him or her and make an articulate complaint to his or her superiors as soon as reasonably possible. Refer to Rule #3. Rule #9: 99 percent of police are intelligent, articulate men and women who are members of the communities in which they serve. They have been through intensive screening, background checks, psychological testing and participate in mandatory training every year to maintain certification. If you believe your local law enforcement does not reflect the diversity of your community, why are you not actively engaged in constructive, peaceful and proactive measures to address the problem? Rule #10: No single government entity more directly effects your quality of life than does your local law enforcement agency. Without this thin blue line, the three to five percent of Americans representing the criminal element would decimate our society with violence and evil. So the next time you go out into the world unarmed to conduct your affairs with the expectation you will return to your residence unmolested and un-victimized, REMEMBER, you have the police to thank for that.
