OK, creative peeps, help me out. Life is about to get busy, but the boy doesnt know that. Id like to make a calendar so he can see what is going on each day and have a better sense of ... control? Id like it to be weekly (I think that will be long enough) and, of course, as plastic-free as possible. In my head, itll probably be moderately large, seeing as the target audience is a toddler. I was thinking magnetic, with magnets for each thing that he/we would do (school, gymnastics, swimming, sleep at mamas house, sleep at daddys house, etc., including other less regular things/places (Childrens Museum, Botanical Gardens, playground, mall, grocery shopping) that he could choose to add if he wanted. A giant felt board would also be OK, but Ive already learned that you cant buy felt shapes (except for the most basic) that arent stickers, which defeats the purpose of a felt board. Please remember that I am renting, so permanent or quasi-permanent things—no matter how cool—are not viable. So creative people, or teacher people, or people whove done something like this — give me your ideas! Id like to get it put together in the next week or so.
