OK either my old age and lack of patience is showing or the groomer at Pet Stop in Canyon Country really is strange! Gizmo is going there for over a year. Same cut every time. Never saw this particular groomer before. Take him up for his scheduled grooming and this groomer is the only one there. First she says she remembers Gizmo...he is a biter. I said Gizmo would not bite anything other than his food or a bone. Oh no, she says, I remember him as a biter. I am still holding Gizmo and do not want to hand him over now. And Jim has walked a bit closer to us to hear what is going on. I said let me see that chart. Well it was a totally different dogs chart she was looking at and it clearly said BITER but it was not Gizmos chart. She says oh sorry. So then I said please leave his face a bit longer than last time but the body the same. This started a ten minute back and forth on what size cutter she should use. She shows me three different sizes. I have no idea what size, the number 1 is written on his chart but she is asking how much length on his paws. So Jim says no length, they usually round them off (we actually pay extra for that). So then she says oh not his paws I meant his ears! There was much more to this but you get the idea. I looked at Jim and he motioned to the door. I said never mind on the grooming. We took Gizmo and came back home. So now Gizmo is recovering from his usual ride in the car trauma (we did buy him a new bone), and Jim and I are still mad. Anyone who knows me knows this would make me really mad and I will complain the rest of today. But anyone who knows Jim knows it takes an awful lot for him to get mad, and he was not leaving Gizmo in this gals hands. Now I am looking for a mobile groomer and we shall see how that goes. Rant for today!
