OK everyone. Vision is still somewhat fuzzy from the dialation drops this morning but I feel this is a good place to start. Like you already know I lost vision in my left eye back in 1998. So going to see my doc every year is a must. Hate the drops tho. They pretty much keep me down all day. In 98 I had over 3000 shots of laser to my retina to shrink blood vessels that had grown because of T1D. Known as Reinaopathy it affects both T1and T2 and can cause total blindness. It is recommended that all diabetics have annual eye exams in order to prevent blindness. After my appt we stopped at eat n park for lunch. BG is 108 perfect! I had the superburger and fries with a bowl of chili 83 carbs! Whoa! Lots of protein and fat. I did a square wave bolus with my insulin pump for 1 hour. After lunch we stopped and ordered new eye glasses and then home. Alarm on my pump! CGM says my sugar is 208 better do a meter check.212! OK. I did a square wave Ive slowed the del every of insulin. Have to wait and see if it catches up. Took a short walk outside. Eye is sore from exam gonna sit and relax for a spell. Fell asleep. Didnt want to do that. Supper time now. Banana and another cheese burger (love cheese burgers) 65 carbs BG is 179 need correction and insulin for the food. Thank god for the pump! It does the math for me. No square wave this time I need insulin now. Gonna have the house to myself this eve. :) Ill post more later.
