OK, explanation time. So, I was supposed to start a new gig tonight and a number of things happened before it even started. First, when im called and asked what time I will be there set up and say 8pm, I expect you to be there at 8pm as well. I know football crowds are important, fine, but tell me when I quote for a gig that football takes priority, then I will find you someone else to run it. Also, if you know you have a match on the first night, dont expect me to turn up at 8pm and be a bit pissed off when its going to start at 10pm. Karaoke and football crowds dont mix anyway, so better to decide on your priorities first. When I ask to talk to you (GM), and text you, again, dont be surprised if I call you at 9pm, still pissed off. Not being somewhere when agreed before is not only unprofessional, its rude. I wouldnt do it to you. When you are told you need certain equipment to run karaoke and its not there, how do you think its going to go? Yeah, badly. So, closing this rant, the reason I charge what I do and im sought after is because I deliver a certain standard to my followers and ultimately your customers. I will not compromise because ultimately, my name is on it. So, if you want to hire someone professional and focused not only on your business, but on your customers, call me. If you arent and have somehow managed to blag a job doing what you do by luck, bribery or nepotism, then do me a favour and dont waste my time.
