OK fellow Quidditchers!! Exciting news. I have written to Harrison Homel, IQA (International Quidditch Association) Executive Director, and told him of our plan to get Quidditch going in NZ and asked for help. In the email I detailed the following: - We are inaugurating a team in Christchurch - We will establish a team at 8 NZ major universities (with help please!) - We will arrange an inter-university tournament - Bring some people to play here The email is deliberately ambitious. Heres how we can get things together, slowly but surely, by taking gentle steps. A first key move is to find two committed people from each of the major universities. Below I attached their quidditch teams. We will provide grass-roots support to each team but we need to work together to build a network of contacts. Ask yourself, do I know someone at the uni who would be up for playing quidditch? With two committed people anything is possible. It would be good to get some competition right? (p.s. now is the time to get moving on this, before the summer break... this will work when the right people are in place and there is a joint focus on getting a tournament together) ... GET YOUR THINKING CAPS ON :) ***
