OK for all you car people. I was raised by one but most certainly am NOT! Transmission is going out on our little car. Has one of those CVT trannys - supposed to make shifting quiet etc. Anybody ever bought one used off internet? I googled and craigslisted and all the sites look the same - like one big huge used parts page. Just not sure how reliable, safe, honest etc. And no matter what I google - they all come back W/O CVT. Question #2 - do I have to have the exact same trans or can I swap? Not sure how the same make, model etc. can have a diff trans. I have NOT been able to find one locally so having to shop around. Want/need to find one before the one in the car decides to give it up for good. Right now it is just noisy.
