OK, for those of you who missed all or part of the Paul McCartney - TopicsExpress

OK, for those of you who missed all or part of the Paul McCartney concert at Candlestick last night due to the horrible traffic, here are a few recommendations: 1. Call Another Planet Entertainment (the promoter of the show) at 415-624-8900 to ask for a refund. I think a prorated refund based on how much of the show you missed is a fair place to start. They are recommending that you send an email to contact@apeconcerts with the details of what happened. They will need your Ticketmaster order number, your seat number and your contact information. They should be sending an email to everyone who bought tickets to the event with an update. 2. Call Mayor Lees office at 415-554-6141. They were very receptive to talking to me. I said that the concert was an historic event for San Francisco with attention from around the world and that the traffic problems made the City look bad to a global audience. Calls to the Mayors office are logged and discussed in regular meetings with the Mayors Executive Committee and issues with significant importance to the city are escalated to the Mayor. 3. The parking franchise at Candlestick is held by a company called City Park. Call the CEO, Tim Leonoudakis at 415-495-3909 to ask why they kept thousands of people waiting for hours and why the parking was critically understaffed and terribly managed for such a high profile event. I considered contacting the Fire Marshalls office at 415-558-3300 to find out if City Park violated any fire regulations by failing to open multiple exit gates from the overflow parking lots after the concert. Similarly, you may want to contact Jocelyn Kane, the Executive Director of the San Francisco Entertainment Commission at 415-554-6678 to see what, if anything, the Commission can do about resolving the issue. If you do contact any of these individuals, please be respectful and positive in working towards a resolution.
