OK gang, todays pre-Holiday Burnoff conditions looked like the 6th edition of a reverse Bad Hair Day. Overnight, forecast says turning abruptly from SW to NW winds. I scouted potentially safe race courses on New Years Eve for half the day while it was NW winds. We will 90% be starting from The Shack and finishing at The Shack, with the course either going out into the middle of the Bay, turning at Aina Haina, and heading back. Up the wall is the only other option. The 10% uncertainty is if the forecast is wrong and we end up with different wind direction. Registration online and from 7:30-9am. You can take advantage of the series and pay for all 3 races for $70, or just pay for single event. Check paahawaii. Lunch to follow at The Shack. Their is the UFC Jones fight on at 3pm. If you want to stick around for it would be a good opportunity to hold seats right after the race. the Shack is charging viewers $10 which is typical cost for Pay per view.
