OK, guys, my wifes not on Facebook, so Im going to put out a little request. I need honest responses on this one, not just what you think I want to hear. Here goes: In April, I will be embarking on a research trip. Because it will involve much of the state of California, I felt that it should be one we go on as a family rather than me going alone. Now, heres where it gets fun: at one point we will be near enough to Anaheim that we could possibly go to Disneyland. Now, understand that I, personally, have zero interest in going to Disneyland. But nearly twenty years of marriage have taught me that it is really not about me, and I know my wife seriously wants to go. Which brings me to my next point: April 19 will be our twentieth anniversary, and I can think of nothing better to honor a lady who has sacrificed much over twenty years of marriage, and tolerated my occasionally (ok, reasonably frequent) surliness, and stubbornness for twenty years than a trip to Disneyland. But it really would put a tight stretch on the funds. Disneyland, as most of you know, is not cheap. So, what I am asking of you is some practical ideas to fundraise for this trip. This is where having a large family can be expensive. I would very much like to make this happen, even with all of the other things going on. Your input is appreciated. Help me make this happen, and I would be eternally grateful!
