The initial course will run for three months one date in October, November & December at a cost of £20 per session if booked in advance or £25 if you turn up on the day. The course will be limited to 15 places, please let me know if you are interested as over 30 people have come on the classes so far. My next question - would anyone be interested in buying a drum? The only reason the course is limited is because of the amount of instruments I have. I will be ordering some more drums made by the same man who made my beautiful floral Alfaias you have all seen. If you were to buy a drum that would mean you would definitely have a place on the course. Jorge is definitely the best Alfaia maker I found in Brazil and I really do like to support him. He is without doubt one of the finest instrument makers in Brazil and it took me a LONG time to track him down after visiting many different places. If you compare the prices to others available online (namely Barravento brand) you will see the price is very reasonable. The shipping will be extra on top of this though. I really hope a lot of you will sign up for the course because I think the first two workshops were a great success and I feel this could really lead to something special.
