OK, it is after hours and the best time to rant if you have the need. This time it is local, and all about traffic flow. I leave Hixson to get to my next appointment in East Brainered. normally for me, that is at the most a 20-minute trip My client was at the corner of Gunbarrel and East Brainered. So Iam headed south, on hwy. 153, and making the East Brainered exit, whet 153 meets I-24. I exit, and it takes 10-minutes to get to the Hickory Valley Road exit, access to E. Brainered rd.. People are madly driving on the shoulder and the wrong direction. Initially I could not put 2 and 2 together, but then i realize, I am in a traffic jam, and Oh S*%$#, I am already seeing that I am going to be late, it is 3:55 and the appointment is at 4 pm. I text (While parked), and tell the client i am on my way.So another 10-minutes pass, and I am still attempting to turn Left onto E. Brainerd road. Park & Text the client again, letting him know i am frustratingly trying to get to him. He texts back, I will wait on you. Thank You, back. I am watching al the disgusted drivers doing a U-Turn choosing another route. So Mr. Chattanooga Traffic Control Engineer Guy, please reconsider the timing of these traffic lights. Whatuse to take me 2-7 minutes, should not take me 38-minutes. West bound traffic flow seemed to have o problem, but East Bound, the nightmare of Chattanooga, needs some adjustment.
