OK it’s Thursday and thank you for all the guesses about my announcement. Some are very amusing. Here is the announcement. After just on 14 years I will be leaving 4BC two weeks from today. It’s not often anyone gets the chance to work in an industry they love but I’ve been very fortunate. So what’s next ? I’m doubly fortunate because I’m going to be working in another industry that I love. I am to become the General Manager of the oldest theatre still operating in Brisbane , the iconic Brisbane Arts Theatre on Petrie Terrace. So excited. I’ll still be doing some variety shows and performing etc. In fact I’m doing a show for the Logan Entertainment Centre at Beenleigh on September 2nd. More details to come. I finish at 4BC on August 14th and will have more to say about the friends I’ve made at the station and through the listeners closer to that time.
