OK more stupid UIL football playoff bracket ranting.. So 9-0 Gainesville plays 9-1 Celina in the first round. The winner will then play the winner of a matchup of 3-6 and 4-6 teams. If you win that and get to the third round, you will play a team that is either 6-4, 4-6, 4-5 or 4-6. And yes I know there is NOTHING that can be done. Its not like you can re-seed (although the UIL does this for state tournaments in basketball, baseball and softball). It just seems ridiculous that two of the four best teams in the region have to play in the first round, while teams with losing records could make it to the third round before even facing a team with a winning record. Out of the 16 teams in Class 3A Division II Region 2, 10 dont have winning records, three only won 3 games all year and one went 2-8.
