OK, my time has come ... (thanks for calling me out LaTonya (and apparently, first, Marie Nicholls - oops, I missed that one)). Heres my ice bucket challenge video - if you have not already gone to learn about ALS, please do @ alsa.org - it is a horrible disease and the awareness & funding this challenge has brought to it is amazing & awesome. I am taking the opportunity to also donate to a cause near & dear to my heart (or other organs, I suppose), and donating to Team V & my dads efforts to raise funds for cancer while running this years NY Marathon. (Note I accidentally say Team 5 instead of Team V in the video - ignore me - Im trying to herd 2 children, prepare to dump ice water on my head, talk louder than the weed trimmer behind me, and decide who to call out all at the same time ... ). I have watched many people fight their own battles against cancer - some winning, and some not, despite their valiant fights. I have now fought my own battle (and in some ways will always fight it). Progress is made all the time, but the more funds there are, the more people will win the battle. As many know, for the last 17 years, I have also worked for a company that manufactures equipment used to treat cancer. As such I thought it appropriate to call out a few coworkers.
