OK, now that its got some official screenings in the UK and the soundtrack is available for sale/pre-order, its about time I show my support for a movie I was lucky enough to see in LA earlier on in the year. Those in attendance from the LA soul scene were native Angelinos, ex pats that were Wigan attendees, 30 year soul vets as well as relative newbies to the scene. And yeah, it spoke to all of us in one form or another. This is a movie that has a pretty healthy stab at the genre called Northern Soul and its formative early years in the UK....personally, I loved it....the music selections were bang on point, and the script was definitely well thought out. Add to that a great cast, and people that lent their talents in research in dance steps etc, then youve got a film that is a must watch, whatever your musical persuasion. You didnt have to be there to appreciate this work of art....it speaks to all. Go.....and enjoy!
