OK, on Wednesday, October 14, 1992, the Pirates last played a MLB playoff game, losing to Atlanta, 3-2, as Sid Bream scored the game - and pennant - winning run, then lay there with a big, goofy, doofus-like grin. On Sunday, October 11, 1992, as MBS closed its 250-Year Anniversary and the Eagles played the Chiefs for the first time in 20 years (an all-time NFL record gap), the Pirates hosted their last playoff game, beating Atlanta, 7-1. ON Friday, October 9, 1992, I attended Game 3 of the NLCS with brother Chris, cousin Tony, and best-buddy Bob. I did NOT attend Game 5, but I was correct in recalling that I missed a game-leadoff triple by Gary Redus. In 5 minutes, those gaps end. GO BUCCOS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
