OK peeps - I am the first to admit I am not thee brightest bulb in thee pack, but I read todays Gazette and Im scratching my head... -Steve Richards is guilty of ONE count out of 23 counts, correct? -His restitution averages around $70 a year stolen town assets. -He will have three years probation while he is enjoying his retirement (a tad bit earlier than originally scheduled) Main objective, for the people by the people was to get him out of office, and so you can all relish in and celebrate that achievement while I mourn the tax dollars WASTED to take him to court all this time. But seriously, I do NOT get it! Is that really ALL this commotion has been about for all this time? All the rah ha has and lynch mobs wanting to take him down for $70 a year? Again, Im not the brightest, BUT with all the serious crime and injustice ever increasing all across Niagara - why was it deemed feasible that lawyers and court costs escalate to hold these silly trials when the man was on the cusp of retirement which would cost nothing, and we would not recoup that $70 a year he stole. Yet with all the business brought in, and everyone who is always telling ME that progress is a good thing - how do you explain all the progress that HELPS our economy, but yet weve been injured by the same tyrant that assisted bringing in business after business after business (too many for me, to be honest). Sorry - I admit I am a dunce, but I seriously do NOT get it... whatsoever. Hes gone now - headline news is how to fill the void. Best wishes - hope you find the perfect person, I really do....
