OK, racism, it exists, there are still people out there that were raised by people who lived through and before the 60s of both black and white races. This means there are people who still hold the idea of what America used to be that is for the white men who came here and started it. Everyone who is not a white man has had to fight for the rights they have now. First it was Native Americans, then black people, and also women. No they cant have our stuff our jobs our rights Now its people from other countries we have issues with. The idea that oh this is 2014 and we should all just be friends is ridiculous. Racism is a very sensitive and delicate subject. The generations who lived through segregation are still alive. Its going to take a bit longer Im afraid for the ramifications of history to settle and that will happen when people have erased their parents, and grandparents way of thinking. When people start to think for themselves for what is right and not to fit into a certain way of thinking. What happened to Michael Brown was wrong no matter what but the fact that people who stand together against an injustice on their people is what people do who are still alive. I would hope there is a riot if a cop were to kill my 18 year old son. I hope it makes the news on every channel that they are not settling for this. I hope the whole world knows what happened. Finally someone is making it known to everyone that this is happening everywhere in the U.S. Remember the reason you can go to work and not get fired for not being white, for not being Christian is because of the civil rights movement. It was a movement that was started out of rage and anger and passion for what is right. The police officer who murdered a young man got suspension with pay. That is not right. It could have been your child. The police kill more people than terrorists. The police kill 500 people a year and we are just sort of fine with that. Well, Im glad some people are not just fine with that. It means that they are still alive. #Ferguson
