OK, so I finally got the info and the paperwork on the Darlington Race, This is a great opportunity to make 10 percent of all sales! The races are Friday , April 11 and Saturday April 12 The concession stand opens around 11 and closes when we finish serving and clean up...around 9:30-10:30. I know it is a long day but think of all the money we can raise! We are in a permenant spot in Person Tower..which means lot of customers. They supply the food and beer, we serve and clean up. Friday we need about 7 people and a manager (myself) Saturday need about 10 people and a manager (Michelle Leviner) On each day at least 3 of our people plus the manager must have TIPS training so we can serve beer. The certification lasts for 3 yrs. The training times and dates are as follows: 4/5 Sat. 1-4pm 4/6 Sunday 1-4pm 4/7 Monday 6-9:30pm This class is at the racetrack at the Media Center. Manager meeting for Michelle and I is April 5 at 9am There is a uniform code that must be followed. Basically we wear black slacks and we rent the shirts from the concession company. We do not pay upfront it comes from our profit... So who is ready to have fun and raise money???? It is awesome that we get to do this, there is limited spaces and we were chosen. So far I have as volunteers: Friday April 11: Myself Windy Sitton, Jennifer Gordson, and Michelle Leviner Saturday April 12: Michelle Leviner, Kelly Bobbit, Terasa Young. Tricia Harrison volunteered for part of a shift but because of traffic they are asking for no partial shifts on Saturday. If you can do the whole day Tricia , please let me know.... We could make a few thousand dollars if we have help....people will walk to another stand if our line is moving slow because of lack of help......
