OK, so I see this headline Jersey Burning Challenge over at Drudge, and I figure somebody is challenging everyone to burn down something in New Jersey. Perhaps a little harsh, but believe you me, there are plenty of things in the Garden State to which the torch should be applied as an act of civic betterment. But then I see its a challenge to burn Ray Rice jerseys, which, if you think about it, is akin to what I originally thought. If you consider the heinous miscarriage of justice that has occurred in the Rice case by Atlantic County prosecutor Jim McClain, who let Rice off with less than a slap on the wrist for what should have been a severe felony charge, you have to ask whether he should be burned, too. Since, however, prosecutors in New Jersey are appointed by the governor, he cant get burned at the polls. But he could in effigy in a spontaneous rally in front of the courthouse. Im not advocating such an action, mind you, but he could.
