OK so Im gonna open a can of worms here.......... So Ive been hearing about how horrible Ray Rice is. How he should never play again from fans and owners. I understand the immediate outrage and its understandable and I would tend to agree but for one thing. Michael Vick....... Vick was responsible for hundreds and thousands of dogs, specifically Pit Bull breed type, deaths. He was convicted and spent a year in Prison. He was initially suspended indefinitely by the the NFL, same as Rice. Vick almost had a built in time line for his return with his sentence. Vick was chastised same as Rice and hands were up that he should never play in the NFL again, same as Rice...... So if Vick is allowed to play, and Rice is never allowed to return, does that mean the NFL, if not the society is more lenient toward the deaths of a lot of dogs then it is to the punching of a woman? Lets also keep in mind that the legal system deemed it OK to slap Rice on the wrist rather then seek jail time, and they did have all the evidence when prosecuting.
