OK, so here is an update to my post from last night about shedding fears. My daughter and her friends invited me over last night, for a quick visit and a beer. Her friends own the beautiful ball python that I was pictured holding. As I stated, I have had a phobia of snakes for almost 20 years thanks to mindless youth who would rather create a fear instead of nurture a love. My daughter took the snake out to hold and did her best to keep it away from me. Now, this little guy is not even a year old, so he is little and not so intimidating (yet) LOL. My newest phase of growth now has lead me to Wicca and embracing the Goddess in everything. My elements are Fire and Earth, and I am beginning my lessons now. It was told to me that in order to master the Earth element, I have to get over any fears I have of animals as they are ALL creatures of Gaia. Last night (I now see) was divinely inspired. I was told {This is your time, the fear ends here}. Me, and the snake...I asked my daughter if I could feel it, pet it if you will. After gaining my nerve, I reached out to touch it. They are incredibly soft! I was fascinated by it, watching him, feeling him. I tried to connect with him, thanking him for honoring me. After a while, I asked if I could hold him (the pic I posted). My daughter was so proud of me! LOL I held the beautiful creature for about an hour and then let him back into his terrarium. I spent the night thinking about the experience, how it made me feel to take my power back from fear. Much the same way as we all did when we made the choice to live by our hearts and not conform with societal pressure. I felt incredible! The people who own this snake, were looking for a home for him, and I actually had my daughter go and pick him up this morning. I knew last night, as he sat in the palm of my hand, that he is my teacher, he will show me not to fear. I LOVE how life works! This witch now has a snake! And I am now, in search of his name. LOL Blessed be!!!
