OK, so here is my dilemma: I have never liked 12-string guitars, and once restrung my dad’s 12-string as a 6-string because it annoyed me so much. I am learning some songs by one of my heroes, one of the finest singer/song-writer/guitarists of all time, many of whose songs cry out to be played on a 12-string (as he did). I don’t want to buy a 12-string (and don’t know anyone locally who has one to lend), but I want to do justice to the songs. I might possibly have a solution, of sorts, but what would you suggest?
