OK, so heres the news. May not be exciting to most, but for Doug it is a very good thing. He got a new job offer, which he accepted. The job is a bit closer to home and the hours are waaaaaaayyyy better than what he has to deal with now. Office closes every day at 5:30. There are no more late nights working til 10:30 and no weekends! Yayy! There are many other benefits I will not discuss here, but needless to say this is a very positive change from where hes been the last 4 months. On a side note...he went in to work today to give them his two week notice and after a few hours, they respectfully (and with full pay since last check was issued, including PTO days he had still not used and for the full day today) told him that he was not needed to finish out the two weeks because it would be more cost efficient for the company. We both kind of figured that would happen, but the whole situation was amicable. He was allowed to say his goodbyes to his co-workers and even send out an inter-office email to everyone. So, thats something, I guess. So, heres to a less stressful and hopefully more financially stable 2015!!
