OK, so heres the story. We left Barcelona (in a car) around 8am to Paris, and due to some miscalculations and needed stops for gas, food, and an occasional traffic jam, it took us about 13 hours to get to there, arriving at 10:30pm. Just enough time to find a hotel, get a late dinner, skate the Eiffel Tower and go back and sleep before heading out the next day(4 plus hour drive) to Gent, Belgium for a shop visit at SCKR PNCH. Then after a cool hang out at the shop and an awesome dinner, we headed to the hotel, where we figured we had to leave by 7:30am to make it to Berlin in time for the mini clinic and shop visit with Quad Roller Skate Shop. We were supposed to make it here by 3:30, BUT....with 3 traffic jams, stops, and major construction, and blazing down the Autobahn (200 kph) we made it here an hour 30mins LATE. FML!!! After the most wonderful authentic Italian appetizers and dinner made by the one and only Ouch Capone, which made up for everything else( thanks to Master Blaster and Vengeance), we are now heading to Gotenberg, Sweden for a roughly 10 hour drive and ferry boat ride first thing in the morning. Talk about some driving. So to recount, drove 13 hours to spend 12 hours in Paris, drove 4.5 hours to spend 12 hours in Gent, then drove 10.5 hours to stay in 14 hours in Berlin. At least well get two days in Sweden, although we have to drive 4 plus hours to Stockholm for a 6:30am flight on Sunday. Oh the joys of driving across EU on a tight schedule. Still enjoying every minute.
